How Much does Catering Cost?

How much any event will cost is directly related to how much time and work you want to put into the event versus how much of the event that you want the caterer to take care of.One of the ways that can make this question easier is to help you decide on the level of service that you desire.* Fully Catered: We will take care of everything down to the smallest details so that you can fully enjoy your event. Usually this includes all of the food, rentals, service and set up. * Assisted Catering: We will deliver the food to your event, set up and maintain the buffet. We will then remove the food and let you handle the rest.* Pick up Catering: We will prepare all of the food for you, you pick it up and take it to your event. This way you can have the wonderful food that you want for you and your guests to enjoy all the while saving money by making it a do-it-yourself event.

How Much Will Catering Cost?
Thank you for inquiring about At Your Service …Caterers. We look forward to assisting you in creating the perfect menu for your special event.Both Mark & Michelle hold degrees as professionally trained chefs.We love what we do and it shows!We use only the highest quality of products available,and stand by our fair pricing policies.We are also available to assist you in any party planning needs as we work closely with the major party houses in Southern Maine. Now onto the technicalities;…PoliciesFirst and foremost...we have NO hidden fees or service charges, there are no surprises here. All fees, deposits, labor rates, and service charges if applicable to you, are all listed below so you are able to know and plan your budget accordingly. Payments and Guest CountsA $500.00 first payment is required to hold your date especially for you.Any event cancelled after the first payment is made,will forfeit the first and all payments as we have already invested time and planning into your event, possibly turned away other events, hired staff, purchased food and beverages and secured any applicable rentals.50% down payment is due 6 months prior to your event.A final guest count is required 2 weeks (14 days) from the event date. At which time the guest count may go up, but not down.Off Site Operations Charge and TaxAYS Caterers will add an Off Site Operations charge for all catered events.This fee includes but is not limited to travel, vehicle expenses, liability insurance, sanitation, etc.This Charge is not a service gratuity and is not paid to the service staff working your event.Gratuities are optional and always appreciated.All Caterings are subject to a 7% Maine sales tax.LaborFor all full service catering labor rates for Chefs are $30.00 per hour and for other staff are $18.00 per hour and will be added to your final bill with a minimum of 3 hours.Large Party PlanningWe love to plan a great party!We will be happy to take care of all rental items necessary for you.If rentals are needed, we do require that a credit card be on file in case rental items are missing or broken upon return, you will be held accountable, and your card charged accordingly.For large party rentals, a 15% coordination fee will apply to rented items.Thanks…Now that’s out of the way…Let’s plan a party!.Thank you for your time~ Mark & Michelle Claussen ~

Who we are and WHY we are different:Chefs Mark and Michelle are both Culinary graduates of Johnson & Wales University.Mark studied Culinary arts in northern Italy,and Michelle worked her Culinary internship in 2002 at the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.Between them, they have over 30 years experience in the Culinary world, and the passion for 50 more. Why we are different from other caterers...We are a boutique caterer. From creating a menu especially for your one of a kind event to only accepting one major event per weekend, this allows us to fully concentrate on your event to ensure that everything is amazing. Another aspect of our business that we take very seriously is making the food for your special event from scratch. When we order from our suppliers, we order the ingredients necessary to make every part of your meal, not pre-made items that others open, heat then serve to you. You will never find pre-made food in our kitchen. If we are making our specialty Gyoza, we make the filling of your choice and hand fold every single one. This allows us to tailor every aspect of your event to you and ensures the quality and freshness that you and your guests deserve.
